I wandered into a local shop today and found a stainless gold cup for sale.  Not terribly sure of the value, but I had cash in hand.  Paid $900 for it and it looks new in box.  I don't believe the thumb saftey is stock, seems a bit large.  Also it is wearing a Bomar rear sight. Did any Colts leave the factory with a Bomar? There is virtually no wear marks on barrel at bushing or hood.  Everything is nice and tight.  I will try to get some pictures up tomorrow.  I guess Single Stack in USPSA and CDP in IDPA will be my new addiction.  My glocks may not get a lot of attention now.

I am not sure, but I do know the older GCs left the factory with Ellaison sights. These sight have the penchant of breaking the roll pin and the sight flying off during shooting.

If you scroll about three quarters down on the link, you'll find a reference to "Bullseye National Match" which was a hand-fitted GCNM equipped with a Bomar sight.  Don't know if that's what you've got, but obviously there were GCs with Bomar sights.
