Got a Defender and shot 300 rounds. Just wonderful. Worked perfect. So I had a bunch of Wilson Combat parts in SS hanging around and sent the Defender and the parts to the best smith in the area who works with Colts. Put in a SS Grip Safety, a safety and a SS slide stop. Go out to the range today and 150 rounds I had 4 stove pipes and 3 FTFs. I shoot Fiocchi ball and it has a little more kick. No limp wrist here but if anybody has any suggestions I am all ears. Thanks.

Is that all he did? Even if he installed them sloppy, they shouldn't cause FTFs or stovepipes unless maybe the slide stop is rubbing the slide and slowing it down. Did he fool with the recoil springs? Are you using the same magazines as the first range trip?
