Glad you are happy with it!
I still have me some 1911A1’s for when I got the .45 urge
I have a good supply of factory and reloaded ammo and stuff to reload more.

I got one of these for mine when I carry with my surefire.  Excellent quality and a little cheaper.

Same here. The Colt rollmarks of the 70s and 80s were way nicer than what they put out now.

Buddy has one for duty. He had to polish the feed ramp but he sure likes it and says it shoots good.

He said it did hang up some hollow points. I can’t remember if it was RangerT or HST.

Aren't they stainless anyway? I thought I was told the base metal is SS under the Cerakote or Ionbond.

Yes, stainless steel frame and slide. Very heavy compared to most 1911s.

Bought my decommissioned M45A1 a few years back. Never thought I would spend that much for a pistol.

Its a keeper!

It fits nicely with my collection but you are right, I dont shoot it at all.  My most awesome wife hooked me up with an Ed Brown years ago and thats the 1911 I shoot.  I will dig it out of the safe, grab some pics, and post it in EE.

Listing in the EE will cut out tons of money. GB it and watch the money flow.

I wouldn't sell mine, but I agree with this, particularly if it's a CCS model or a USMC decom, both of which usually command a hefty premium. Use GB.

When I called Colt the other day, the sales rep on the phone told me they're currently not producing the M45A1.

Figures.

I seen 2 colts at a shop a colt Marine and a government model combat unit.

The marine was over 2k and the combat unit $1600 what's the difference in these? Both black and they looked the same besides mags, grip, and cool box.

Markings, and I THINK the M45 internals have a different anti-corrosion finish? I could be wrong there...otherwise it's the same frame, slide, etc

Gunbroker recent completed items will tell you all you need to know about that gun. Values went to the moon early this year. I saw 1 all black break $10k. Prices have started to slide of course but I believe the most recent still broke $3500. I gave $2100 for mine before the madness. Edit I was close. Attachment Attached File
