If I could get a "rough" idea on the value of a nickle 6"....
decent shape ( say 75% ) with correct grips.
I realize the description is vague at best...just curious about ball park value.

75% is kind of rough. But pythons bring high dollars today in general. A buddy just sold an 8" stainless on gunbroker for over $4k. The one you note would probably go for $1200 or so. I've got a decent collection of these guns but couldn't put that group together at today's prices.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for..it's more like 80+%, I would rather figure low though...
I guessed somewhere $1000 - $1300 in today's market

I bought it new in 1987 or 1988

PS: I said 100% because it looks that good. It has been shot though.

Watched a 4" at a local shop sell for 3k out the door.  No box or papers but it was mint.

About 2 days ago I saw a 1969 6" at a pawn shop for about 1800. The frame is a pinkish/red and there is some minor pitting on the cylinder. The barrel, cylinder and cover plate are nice and deep blue.

Gun Broker and Guns America are a good baseline...

Without pics no clue to value.
