Well, besides for my social life.................

Just got a Colt Official Police, .38spl, 4" bbl, etc. that has been reblued. I got it for a mere $325, which I consider a damn good price considering the bore condition, IMO.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could help me date this thing so I can get better grips & so forth.

S/N is 7108xx.

Pics will follow later this week.

Thanks in advance!

You might consider a Colt letter on that one.  A 1944 OP is kind of a rare duck.  Colt made relatively few revolvers during the war.  Less than a 100,000 vs the million or so Smiths.  I have two WW 2 Colts, an OP and a Dec Special.

I may do a letter, but it's been re-blued, ending all value. I bought just because it was an old Colt. I got it for only $325 + TTT.
