| Last night I was at the local gun shop and they had a Colt Delta 10mm!!!! I've always wanted one! They said they usually only get 2-3 a year and usually sell the same day! The only problem is that the engraving is a little sloppy. By that I mean, where it says Delta Elite, the engraving was not done as deeply as where it says Colt. It's not THAT noticeable, I'm just really picky and so I tend to notice things others might not. I asked the salesman if it could be sent back to Colt for reengraving, but he said he wouldn't do it. He said he'd just leave it the way it is. What do you guys think? Would you go ahead and get it? Like I said its not that noticeable. I know these guns appreciate in value so I'm tempted to go ahead and get it since they're so hard to find. Do you think it would hurt its future value? Thanks in advance!!! |
| Colt has put the Delta Elite in regular production, so they are not as valuable or rare as they once were. If you're really bothered by the light rollmark, you could buy and send it to Colt for repair. Don't know what they'll charge, or how long it will take though. |

Buy it immediately and don't worry about the marking. :-)
They're not impossible to find, but merely difficult... It took me about a year to finally get one (and only because it was over priced enough to keep others from buying it immediately, but not quite over priced enough to make me continue my search). I missed out on a few of them along the way, even pre-panic they were getting snatched up as soon as they hit the market. |
