This may be way to broad of a question but can someone give me an estimate of what a brand new in box colt 1911 would be worth from the 40's? 50's? and 60's? Im just looking to get an estimated price but i do realize how vague my question is.

Edit: By the way, these would just be commercial pistols. Nothing fancy.

from the 40s probably around 3K and 2K for the 50s and 60s

Thank you. I came up with 1500-2000 doing research which seemed low, but i wasnt completely sure.
