I had sent in my Colt Commander slide back in January because the front sight was loose and the recoil spring channel had not been cut exactly centered, although that never affected the functioning of the pistol. Now I bought this Combat Commander almost four years ago so i was expecting a fix of the front sight and that's about it. Well today, I get home from work and a box containing a brand new slide is waiting for me, all covered under warranty. A great surprise the day before my birthday. 
What is interesting is the scroll marks on the right hand side of the new slide. I do not remember what was on the old slide, maybe Series 80.

Triumph, I just picked up a new Commander today (in shipping) but I noticed the same thing you did,.. the new ones coming out are going to be rollmarked with this for 2011...they show the Commanders on page 19 on the left side view only, ...yet there is a small insert on the page mentioning the rollmark in their catalog ...
