Does anyone have any experience with Metalform mags for Colt handguns? I was shopping on CDNN's website (free shipping on orders over $100 this weekend) and was thinking about ordering a couple for a .380 Gov model. Thanks.

An old shooter that my dad knew gave them a good review. He used them in some of his 45's. That is the best I can tell you.

They used to be oem mags for Springfield 1911's. I've got a couple for my -a1. Very solid mags. They ate the stainless ones, will probably get more.

I use metalform magazines
in a RRA 9mm carbine (function with no mods unlike another company), 9mm and 45acp in a 1911.

Metalform makes a great product.

A few weeks back I ordered one Metalform and one Colt factory mag from CDNN for my .380 Government model. The Metalform ran just as perfect as the Colt mag. (Which was probably made by Metalform anyway).

If I had it to do over again I would have bought two Metalforms.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that Metalform is one of the OEM manufacturers of Colt mags.

I have heard the same also. Colt buys the mags from other companies.
