Ok, I have to ask. What do you like about the P22?
I've had one for a couple years now. Mine has run pretty well if using CCI Mini Mags.
Several guys on the department bought them as suppressor host. I already had a 22/45 with Pac Lite threaded barrel, but bought a P22 anyhow.
I've tried to like it.
12.5lb trigger pull, and that is conservative.
4.5lb. single action pull.
Mine shoots about 6" at 25 yards, but could be due to crappy sights and triggerpull.
I can't really find any way to lighten the pull.
You have to run CCI mini mags to avoid cycling issues. Tried some Fed Champion and FTE's.
But lots of them are sold.

What do you like about it other than the look?

I shall have to try the minimags.  Mine has tremendous cycling issues.  Jams every other shot.  I have been using the 350 round boxes of ammo at walmart.

Cool looking but my old ruger was far more dependable.

I don't have any trouble with mine other than mags cost $30. I wish I had a dozen mags for it.

I run federal bulk pack through it all day long.

I bought mine NIB and broke it in with CCIs, now it runs Fed. bulk HPs, suppressed or not, without issue.

I have small hands, so it fits me well.

It makes a small, light host for a small, light suppressor.

I admittedly don't trust it like I do my Mk III or Buckmark, but it is a lot of fun in a small package.

Try the Winchester 333 or 555 bulk packs. They are very consistant loads for bulk.
I have not tried them in the P22 but they run real well in my AR.22 conversions which can be real picky.

I'm not giving up on it yet. It has run pretty well. Just that awful trigger pull.

I never shoot mine DA, FWIW, and the SA has gotten better with time.

I forgot to mention above that it's the one that my nephews always want to shoot, due to the small grip size.  I plan to buy a pair of the pink ones for my twin girls on their next birthday.

This, I have two of  them and they both eat federal bulk ammo like candy, suppressed and unsuppressed..

That is the main reason I've been shooting it more. I figure after a few thousand rounds, it should smooth out at least.
I'm probably just biased. I had put a few hundred rounds through my 22/45/Pac Lite and can easily get 2" groups at 25 yards with irons.
The P22 was never designed for that.
It does make a nice, little suppressed package though.
In all fairness, a lot of my issue is my trigger finger. Busted up in the military and arthritis makes it difficult to pull heavy triggers.
I'll stop complaining

It appears to me through personal
experience & from reading about
them here, the nickel plated slides
seem to run the bulk pack ammo
better than the black slides, which
typically requires hotter rounds to
function reliably.

I believe that's because the nickel plate
(if that's what it is) has significant lubricity,
which makes them more reliable over the
black phosphate type plating...

My .02...

It originally had lousy reliability with fed bulk pack, so I fed it CCI mini-mags for about the first 1k rounds.
Now it feeds bulk ammo fine. Just needed breaking in.
Not impressed with the trigger, not overly accurate.

It's fun for plinking and Remington Golden Bullets work fine for me.

It's also a good training tool for new hand gun users.

I don't look for much accuracy out of mine. I mostly put out small empty powder bottles out at 25 yards and shoot them. I put on the Advanced Armament Element Suppressor and it's more fun. I just enjoy the feel, the light weight of it, and the ability to shoot very very quiet. Even when I shoot CCI Mini-Mags out of it using the Suppressor, I have only had 2 go supersonic out of 5000 rounds so it's real quiet even though it is cycling the action!

Fun gun, Great price, Looks good, Ease of use, Threaded Barrel = Plenty of fun!
