I'm looking at snagging a p22 to plink around with at the range. I had heard that a lot of people recommend replacing the sights for target shooting....

anyone have any good suggestions?

The P22 comes new with #2 and #3 sights.  I kept the #3 in and find it to be dead accurate.  The rear has adjustable elevation.

The P22 also uses a hole for the front sight instead of a channel––so I'm not sure what aftermarket sights would work.  Not sure about the back.

I would get the gun first and shoot it.  I love mine stock and now that my FTF issue is resolved it's getting more and more fun to shoot!

Thanks for the advice... I'll play with the stock ones first... what was causing your FTF issue?

Well Walther said they replaced the trigger bar, but I'm convinced it needed more work than that.

First few rounds of a mag wouldn't chamber and there was a lot of tension between the hammer and the breach block.

They got me all fixed up in no-time.  If you have problems, you want to call them right away.  Don't waste time/frustration with a local gunsmith like I did.  And there's always the Bible if you are adventurous.
