I'm looking at snagging a p22 to plink around with at the range. I had heard that a lot of people recommend replacing the sights for target shooting.... anyone have any good suggestions?

The P22 comes new with #2 and #3 sights. I kept the #3 in and find it to be dead accurate. The rear has adjustable elevation.
The P22 also uses a hole for the front sight instead of a channel––so I'm not sure what aftermarket sights would work. Not sure about the back. I would get the gun first and shoot it. I love mine stock and now that my FTF issue is resolved it's getting more and more fun to shoot! |

Well Walther said they replaced the trigger bar, but I'm convinced it needed more work than that.
First few rounds of a mag wouldn't chamber and there was a lot of tension between the hammer and the breach block. They got me all fixed up in no-time. If you have problems, you want to call them right away. Don't waste time/frustration with a local gunsmith like I did. And there's always the Bible if you are adventurous. |
