Apparently I posted in the incorrect forum the last time. So lemme try again. On my P99AS (greatest weapon in my opinion) I am experiencing slide-to-frame impact during recoil. I can manually cycle the slide and recreate the issue. Is this correct? I have never seen nor heard of this happening in another weapon. (I am an 8 year veteran) Some help would be greatly appreciated. |

The point the recoil spring fits into on the slide(technical name escapes me), impacts the frame during cycling. It impacts the corresponding ‘pocket’ for the recoil spring. Walther P22's had a severe issue with this (causing cracking and splitting of the slide) and a redesigned slide was created. I believe that my issue is rather unique as I have not heard nor read of such an issue. I will try to retrieve some photos of the issue. Thank you for the reply. |
