Ok, so it's my wifes gun, not mine, but i made sure to wring it out relatively thoroughly.

I put about 200+ rounds of 115gr FMJ and about 30 rounds of GD 124+P

Recoil:

Very good, snappy, but not painful at all, much like a G19 with a thinner grip.

Sights:

Very easy to pick up for a compact gun, dead on at 15 yards.

Accuracy:

easily minute-of-can at 15yds.  I'll do some shooting at 25 later this week.

Overall:

GREAT pistol, ate all the ammo i stuck in it w/ no hiccups even though it was dry (i run em dry for the first 1-200 rounds just to see how reliable it is out of the box).  No problems whatsoever, trigger was a bit gritty, but we'll see if it smooths out.  If i had the money i'd buy one to be my new BUG/CCW weapon.

I absolutely would trade my Kahr K9 in for it in a HEARTBEAT.  More accurate, WAY better trigger. Slimmer, Lighter, better under recoil.

I have to second this report.  I bought the PPS as a CCW for the wife and took it for a spin with 100 rnds of crap range ammo.  Out of the box had one FTC and one FTE, I attribute both to stiff everything and a lack of liquid love.  Upon cleaning the weapon, ithas a remarkable resemblance to the Glock I carry and had much the same recoil w/o the capacity.  This streamlining is my gripe but the reason the wife liked it's slim profile.

More to come as we add to the odometer.

I just bought one tonight, I'll post my range report.  You absolutely right it's very, very similar to the internals on a glock.  I bought it because I want something thin enough to place in my front pants pocket and I'm not fond of snubbies.  I already have a baby glock which is just too thick and really prints.  The Walther seems to be very well put together and I'm excited to do some shooting.  The manual says not to use +p+ ammo but I have some Winchester Ranger +P+ 127gr that I'd like to use.  It's a pretty small gun so I'm a little nervous to shoot such hot ammo through it.

Is it ok to use +P through the PPS?  I am really considering picking one up for a CCW seeing as how I am really a thin guy and don't like to wear baggy clothes just to conceal.

I've fed hundreds of rounds through mine with no issues... I am a big fan of the overall design and function of this gun....

Yes it's OK to use +P.  I personally carry Federal HST 127 +P rounds.  No problems at all.  Now I would hesitate in using +p+ rounds since it says not to in the manual, but if that's all you have for protection I could justify their use.  Just not a steady diet of those "hot" rounds.

Glad I'm not the only one who has envy of his "wife's " new PPS. Dang thing is sweet! I already told her to keep it in her purse because the moment I find it anywhere else, it's mine.

I got a PPS in .40 cal. I love it. I'm a smallish guy (155lbs) and this gun is a easy CC even on my skinny ass. I got the extended mag and it now holds 7 rounds of +P HP. If you cant stop someone with that, then you might want to turn and run.......or grab the next mag

I think I'll keep this gun for a long time

Which ammo are you using?  I have never seen +P .40 S&W's.  Maybe I'm just confused but I didn't know there was such an animal.

I've had my PPS (9mm) for about 7 months now and have 800+ rounds through it.  No hiccups at all.  I love it.  I carry it with the 7 round mag in the gun & 2-7 round spare mags.

It loves Federal 124 JHP & Federal 147 JHP.  Accurate as hell.

My PPS 9mm is great! CCW everywhere with it, and has been ultra reliable.  I would get one for the wife if I could get her LCP away from her (It's just so light! almost too light IMO)

I just picked one up for $486.00 NIB

How I got that price:
Bought a used 40cal Jericho $325.00, traded even for S&W 5903 ANIB, traded the S&W + $116.00 for a NIB GSG 5PK and 2 - 22rd mags (decided I didnt need a toy, needed a carry pistol) so traded the GSG and mags + $45.00 for a NIB Walther PPS in 9mm.

I have not been able to shoot the PPS yet, but hope to soon!

I want one!  The more I look and them and read the more I want one.

I like them too. Shot one this summer and found it to feel, in terms of size and recoil, almost exactly like the Springfield EMP, which is made of unobtanium and costs $1300.

I'm glad to see other positive reports.

My wife has a 9mm and loves it. I try to steal it whenever possible but that is practically never. I am seriously thinking about getting one for me to replace my 3" 1911. But I just love my 1911.

Her Walther has had no hiccups in over 500 rounds.

Great CCW.

I got to shoot a PPS in .40 at the range last weekend.  It was a very well made little gun, but the one thing on it that seemed atrocious was the magazine release.  Am I the only one who had a problem operating it?

I felt like I had to use my weak hand thumb to eject the mag –– I couldn't operate it with my shooting hand thumb.

I use my strong hand index finger to operate the mag release on that and on H&K and my P22.

I do the same. Strong hand index to release. Try throwing on the largest backstrap if that doesn't work.

Does anyone know if the PPS has the same threaded barrel nut like the P22 has? I'm wondering if I could "fake" suppress it.
