[ARCHIVED THREAD] - P4 vs P38, Grip Question
Posted:

So I am picking up a Walther later this week that's based on, from what I can tell, a P4.
It has the stock black plastic grips on it, but I was thinking about throwing on some nice checkered wood grips. Similar to these, from "Grips 4 U".
My question is on fitmet / compatibility.
Do the P38's, P-1's, and P-4's all take the same grips? Or are there slight changes / variations in the frame? Or is all the changes in the slides?
Thanks!

Thanks!
Any suggestions on where to purchase them from? I see Altamont has some (smooth and checkered), Grips 4 U, Nill (expensive).
Thanks!

Go with Nil. Those are the only grips that preserve or enhance the feel of the OEM gun...and the also "look" right.
