Left my PPQ in my truck without the magazine in it while I was at work.
It got very Hot so I pour some cold water on it to cool it down. Now I'm have a very hard time inserting a mag in it does anyone have an Idea how to fix it. Any and all help is appreciated. PS. Has any body else had this same problem. I was thinking maybe if I use my heatgun and heated it up slowly and than inserted the mag and let it cool down slowly that may fix the problem. |

Sounds like you warped it. I wouldn't carry or shoot that gun again because you have no idea what embedded action parts are now out of alignment. Call Walther and explain the issue. You might not want to mention the "pouring cold water on it" part. Explain that you always leave carry guns in your truck and this never happened before with your "Brand X" guns. They might just send you a UPS Tag for the frame and fix it for free....you have nothing to lose at this point. |

Fixed it used my heatgun and heated in up slowly, used painters tape on the magazine sides a little at a time.
Add some let it cool down slowly if still to tight I heat it up again very slowly and add a strip of painters tape on each side. And again heat it up very slowly insert the mag if still to tight I would keep doing it over and over until the mag would drop out like it was supposed to just remember after it cools down remove the mag from the mag well take the tape off the mag and insert the mag in the mag well until you get it to drop free and don't leave your polymer handgun in your truck were the sun can get to it like I did. And yes it was a dumb ass thing to do lesson well learned. Now for the slide stop release. What a week has this been. |
