I have a used (new to me Pt 111). I have a problem after 20 or 30 shots. The recoil spring gets it way out of the slide partially. Upon examining the spring it appears that it is sort of chewed up on the end facing forward. I really don't want to send it to Miami. I think a new recoil spring will cure it.I am talking about the largest spring on the recoil assembly.Wolff doesn't have a spring listed for that model. I contacted Taurus Customer Service by snail mail and still no response after 3 weeks. I really like the little pistol. It handles and shoots real nice. I want to carry it concealed but can not trust it to stay togehter. Any thoughts?

Call them!!! Just have them send you a new recoil rod assembly. That should fix the issue.

Update on  Millenium Pro problem. A couple on months plus have passed since I sent a letter to customer service. I am still waiting to hear from them. I got tired of waiting to hear from them so I decided to follow the warranty instructions on their web site. This has turned out to be a huge mistake. The UPS charge to ship to Miami was $68 plus for 3 day Air which was the only way UPS would ship it for me.Even if they completlly fix the problem I still have too much invested in a questionable weapon at best. I just had to comment after reading of all  the problems other are having.I understand why" friends don't let friends buy Taurus's".

6 Months have passed since I  returned my Millenium Pro 9 to Taurus. Aside from  the original failure and the subsequent high price  to return it to Taurus, I am well satisfied with the little weapon. It functions flawlessly with factory ammo and with my handloads and although not a tackdriver it has good accuracy. In looking back, I should have taken it back to the dealer where I purchased  it (used) and had them ship it to Miami.I most likely would not buy a used Taurus again since you never know what the previous owner put it through.

Damn! I hope that don't happen to me! Did they ask you if your gun is double action only? Guy I talked asked me that a few times.

I asked 3 times if that was the spring assembly for a pt 111 in 9mm! they better send the right one!

Nope the rude a$$ woman I talked to all three times never asked that, but I gave them the exact serial number and model number all three times that should be enough to get the right parts! You would think.....?!?

Dude I talked to was cool. I gave him all the info and he had a hard time finding the part #. Asked if it was DAO then he found it. Idk he made it sound important.
