Is this gun worth a damn? I mean compared to a Colt or Kimber how does it stack up?

i have one and it shoots great .no hang ups on fmj or hollow points seems well built. i will prolly trade mine off because i dont really need it

I love it and it comes with some features standard that are extra on more expensive pistols. Kimber and them make sweet pistols but I'm not willing to spend the kind of money they go for, for one.

Just curious...I just noticed the ALR version uses an alloy frame as opposed to a steel frame like the other models from taurus. I was just curious if there are any issues with durability of an alloy frame over a steel frame.

There are other pistols on the Market that use alloy frames and are generally considered tanks. IIRC Ruger and some Smith and Wesson firearms use alloy frames.

Cool, thanks. Wasn't sure if an alloy frame would wear considerably quicker than a steel frame would.
