[ARCHIVED THREAD] - 1st Generation Millenium PT145

Does anyone own the first generation of one of these? I've heard they had some reliability issues but was wondering what experiences people on here have had. My local gun shop has a used 1st generation Millenium PT145 that he wants $279 for. I've been wanting a compact 45 for a while and almost bought this yesterday but remembered reading about possible problems. I checked the serial number through Taurus and found this particular gun was manufactured in 2002. Does this make any difference? Any info you guys could give me would be appreciated.

I have one and I have not had any issues with it.

Thats way to high a price for a used 1st gen. I would not pay more than $200 for one. you can get a nice new 3rd gen with single action/ double action trigger and rail for $329 at Academy sports.

I HAD one in 2002. It kept breaking at the pin that goes through the trigger. After the third trip to the factory they put a metal bushing in the hole where the pin goes through. I sold it after that. That was my only experience
