I have reason to believe that my internal lock is causing malfunctions in my PT111 9mm pistol. I could send it back to Taurus but I'd rather just fix it myself.
Anyone know how to remove the internal lock from the slide? I figure someone here probably has done it before. Thanks for any input. DLS |

Just from a liability standpoint you ought to send it to the manufacturer for repair.
If you ever had to use it (God forbid) it will be siezed and probably inspected-if they discover you made any modifications it could get real ugly on the civil side. The guvmint is more concerned with the good shoot/bad shoot angle but the BG's family will get a lawyer for a possible civil suit. We do have some pretty good judges in this neck of the woods but you never know. Just my $0.02. |
