Looking for any owners of a Taurus 454 casull Raging Bull. Ive had mine for some time without any probs, just wondering if anyone out there has had any run ins on problems with the 454? |

Phil I load my reloads at 30.0 grains of alliant 2400 with a 250 grain hornandy XTP HP and it shoots with not much of a kick, even with a 300 grain bullet, it doesnt have a non workable kick,Im sold on the taurus because of the built in muzzle break and factory porting at the end of the 8" barrel, there system really does work and Taurus is the only BIG BOY revolver to have these features. Im shure this revolver is good for hunting, but for me personally,I just love to BLOW THE LIVING &!#$@!$ out of stuff. |
Now that you say that I think I remember a key in the box. I just looked all over the gun and if I did have a key I wouldn't know where to put it. Where is the lock? |
|
Wolf Pack If Im not mistaken I believe the key hole is located at the trigger guard housing area,if not there then try looking at back of pistol, maybe close to the hammer area at pistols main frame. The key looks like regular keys handle, but its got what looks like a pin comming from the keys handle. Im not close to my casull but I will know for shure later on this evening exactly where the key hole is and for that matter, where the #@^%$# my key is. |
Yea, it's on the Goddamn hammer

There are several reasons I use my Taurus as my home defense revolver. -99% of BGs will piss themselves and run away when they see the .454 pointed at them. -If I shoot someone with it, they WILL go down, as will anyone behind them. -If I miss, the muzzle blast will still knock them off their feet. -Its easy to aim when you can put your muzzle against their chest while still standing on the other side of the room. -If you somehow miss with all 5 rounds and they are still standing, you have a club that would make a medieval knight proud. |

while we're talking .454's I have a Ruger SRH in that calibre. Has anyone shot both? What are the major differences....I'd imagine the muzzle break on the RB really helps. Is the RG as bad on your hands as the SRH when shooting hot loads? mine is really polite w/ 45 LC and Winchester .454's but a real handfull when feeding it corbon rounds(not that I do that often)....just looking for some feedback. Thanks for any responces, -HS |

HillBilly Ive owned my 454 for about 2yrs and shot a lot of rds,(300 gr) hornandy XTP HP and believe me the muzzle brk really does work and because of the grip,it really doesnt rattle youre bones. Ive never shot SRH, so I cant help you there, but, like I said before, Im sold on the taurus 454. Try it youll like it. |
