My brother has an older 111 millenium (not sure which generation).  One day we were going to shoot it and it wouldnt fire. Trigger went back but wasnt "catching" on anything.
When we took it apart, we noticed a broken plastic part above the trigger that looked like it had two eyelets and kind of swung on a pin. It was keeping the trigger from moving back and forth smoothly and also resetting.
My question is, do/can he send it back to taurus or does that have to be done through a shop, also he bought it off a friend so will there be any issues paperwork or anything?
    Thanks

IIRC, lifetime warranty.
Taurus website should have FAQs about warranty service.

if it's not the 111 g2, i think it needs to go back to taurus anyway.  wasn't there a recall?

Not sure if there is one.

I have a 1st Gen PT-111 and it's been flawless for over 1500 rounds.
