A local dealer has a used blued model 66 in .357 mag with a 2" barrel listed for $349.
There is a faint turn ring around the cylinder but the gun locks up pretty tight with a very small amount of play in all directions. The bore looks pretty good. I know nothing about revolvers, is this a good price? Anything I need to look for in particular? |

So tight I had to send it in to Taurus to get the cylinder opened. They have a bad rep for a reason. |

I had one of these years ago, never had an issue with it. I had a good one back in the late 80's that I sold. I bought a new one a few years ago that wouldn't lock on two chambers when firing DA. I got fixed on it's second trip to Florida, so I was able to sell it with a clear conscience. |

Every gun company lets a bad one get out of the factory once in a while. Taurus lets a good one get out once in a while. IMHO, they make too many different models. They probably run them in batches, changing setups every other day. They never get machines dialed in and leave them. |
