Ill make it short... My Taurus 24/7 Pro 40 Cal slide stop kept getting caught even though there were still rounds in the mag, clearly a problem. I sent it in for repair, they keep it for 3-4 weeks, i get it back. I read people complaining before on this issue, about getting guns back and the problem is still there, but i just thought it didnt make much sense. I mean, you send it in, they find the problem, test fire it to make sure its fixed, and send it back. But how is it that i get a gun back and not only is the original problem still there, but now it will not feed right as well. Not fixing the problem is one thing, but adding problems, thats a special kind of shitty. Im not butthurt or upset, but impressed more than anything as to how this happens. I wonder if they will at least pay for me to send the gun back since they did pretty much nothing If not then at this rate i might as well buy a new, more reliable gun. (Regardless im using this as an excuse to get anther pistol, either M&P9 or G19, range mostly) It's just baffling...

Curious, are the firearms repaired in the states or are they sent back to Brazil?

Sorry to hear of your problem.  I have a couple of Taurus guns but thankfully they have no problems.

They are repaired in Miami, i think Hialeah to be more precise... Im certainly not trying to thrash Taurus, especially since im Brazilian, but test firing a gun before sending it out sounds like a good idea to me. I hope they fix it so they dont have to waste their time and mine altogether, plus i like the pistol.

That sucks.  My experience with Taurus has me pretty loyal:
Sent my PT145 back for a cracked frame.  They had it back to me within 5 days with a new frame, recoil spring and new trigger assembly.  I couldn't be happier.

As an update, after i sent it back the second time they worked on it much faster, i got it back last week, test fired it on SAT, and it worked perfect. I saw a sticker on the box that said it was addressed to a "Senior Tech" in Taurus. So i guess second time is the charm and they seem to actually care to an extent when the gun is sent back a second time. I am not sure if that is much of an excuse for the gun being sent back broken the first time, since you would think the guy would shoot it to make sure its fixed, but in any event its done. I like Taurus because im Brazilian and biased that way, so its water under the bridge now, hopefully no more problems.
