i have a M-TAC for a 1911. I realy like it and it only took 7 days to get it, not the 6 months for the VMII. realy you could order both and have the M-TAC next week and wait for the VMII. That was my plan but I liked the M-TAC so much I never ordered the VMII.

I haven't used a VM2 in years, but it's an extremely well made and comfortable holster.  And I've never used a Mtac at all, but I do know this, without a doubt the Crossbreed Supertuck, what the Mtac copied, is the most comfortable IWB holster I've ever worn.  You really can forget the gun is there.

You don't have to wait 6 months for a VM2.... ordered one a month ago and it will be shipped in April... O'Wait.. that is 6 months........ yea but it's horsehide with sharkskin trim with matching sharkskin belt.. If you will settle for whats in stock with a Milt Spark retailer you can have a VM2 in the time it takes to make a phone call and whatever shipping method you feel froggy enough to pay for. Call Sparks and they'll give you the phone number for their retailer....yep.. just so happen to have the number.. 208-377-5577

The VM2 is the standard by which all other IWB holsters are measured.  I've been using a VM2 with my 228 & 228R and have not looked at another IWB holster.

I have the VMII but I never use it now that I have a Crossbreed SuperTuck. The difference in comfort is not even close!

On the one hand, the Milt Sparks Versa Max ll offers fine craftsmanship and is a work of art which makes owning one a justifiable source of pride.

On the other; the Super Tuck is the most comfortable holster yet devised for carrying a pistol IWB.

Since I already have a VMII I went ahead and ordered the M-TAC with standard belt clips.I hope it rides as well as what I've read on here.
