I am looking for a bed side safe to hold two handguns (Glock 19 with a light, and Springfield XD 45 full size). I would like something that I can mount (either to the floor or under my night stand), is easy to open and reliable.  Im looking at the following safes. I would appreciate any input you might have. Thank you in advance.

GV2000C- DLX MULTI DELUXE
Winchester EV1200 Personal Electronic Pistol Safe

I have the large Gunvault used exactly as you propose - I'm happy with this solution. Plenty of room for a full-size 1911, Glock etc. It should also have space for the light, depending on the size of the light of course.

I love my gunvault.  I chain it under my seat in my truck.

I like by biovault 2.0, no key or combination.  Just swipe my finger and it opens, you also have the option of programming additional users.

I have heard horror stories about these.  If you cut your finger the day a bad guy comes to your home....it MIGHT not open when you need it to.  I have had people tell me that a sweaty hand will keep it from opening.  I think it is smith and wesson that has a case that has 4 buttons that you use for a combination and when it opens it presents the gun to your hand.  Much more reliable in a pressure situation.

Well I haven't heard the horror stories, but with 3 years of usage it has never failed to open.  As far as the cut finger you can actually program each digit on both hands so not really a factor.
