Is it just me or did anybody else have a real hard time getting the battery snap back in place when installing the batteries for the first time? The latch now has a chunk of finger and some blood on it. I managed to get it to snap on using some needlenose pliers in the end. Does it always stay this stiff? The instructions say use a coin and its easy

Haven't done mine in a while, but I remember it being pretty damn tricky. I also remember lots of threads about this very subject when suddenly everyone bought one. im alittle late on the handgun tac light bandwagon ![]() Didn't mean it as a bash, just pointing out that it's obviously a question that many have when they first get one. |

Here's what I tell folks that own the TLR lights.
To remove...use a quarter. Just put the quarter underneath the latch and twist it...the latch will come off. To reinstall the switch plate. 1)Take the TLR into the palm of your left hand. 2)Hold the switch plate with your left, index finger. IE...apply pressure to the switch plate so that it is flush against the back of the TLR. 3) With your right thumb...push the latch outward, as you continue to apply pressure with your left index finger against the switch plate. ETA: If you break the latch...you are screwed and will have to send the TLR back to the factory. You will not get out that pin that holds the latch in place. Once you do it a few times...it becomes quite simple. Hope that helps. |
