Isn't a "new york reload" just a second gun?

What is a new york reload holster?

Ok maybe a bit of confusion so here are the two holsters offered by BCO. Maybe I didn't know what I was talking about when I said New York Reload Holster. Is it called somthing else? Nicholas Cage had one in the movie Face Off. So does anyone know if any other holster manufacturer's offer this style of holster for 1911"s?

Is that something you carry small of back?

That thing is crazy looking. I don't think I've ever seen one.

You could try a custom holster maker. I wonder if they would charge you 2x a normal holster.

For what it is worth I agree with mcnielsen, There is a reason not many people use them.

I would be worried about covering your body while drawing

Are you trying to carry concealed or are you going to a costume party?  That holster is not a serious CCW holster, IMO.  Be safe.

Thanks for the website man very nice and yeah thats what I am looking for. I was just curious as to what my options where. Actually I found out yesterday Galco offers one just the way I want it but for the hefty price of $700. Anyways as for Mcnielsen's comment I agree with you too. It isn't a very practical carry and doesn't serve any real purpose. None the less it is something I have always wanted to do why? I don't know. Yeah I plan on doing somthing like this soon for CCW.

Some cop show years ago the boss cop carried two revolvers like that. I was fascinated as a child seeing it.

Slow draw + possible spinal if you go to the pavement.

I'm failing to see the up-side here.

Hahaha I know I know. There isn't any practicallity to it at all. Like in Vengarr's comment, it is somthing I have been fascinated with for a long time. I have had the money set aside to do somthing like it for a while but I kept putting it off till now. I figured the likleyhood of Obama getting elected is pretty good and he isn't a fan of handguns or uhm really any guns so I figured I might as well start really looking into this now if I am going to do it.

I've been known to carry one pistol on each side, a RH and a LH holster, but I don't think I would ever put them that far in the small of my back like that.

But if you want one... get one.  You'd probably be better off going to a local upholstery shop, buy two pieces of leather from Tandy Leather Co, and take a couple unloaded 1911's.

I bet they could stitch the two pieces together in no time and you would be out for less than 100 bucks for the leather, and stitching.

I used to take holsters to be modified to a local boot repair shop, and he never charged me more than 5 bucks to cut and stitch or modify for shorter barrels, or different belt slots or anything.

Not a bad idea I would probably save a buck. I live in Kentucky and there are plenty of companies making saddles for all the horse riders around here. I wonder if they could whip somthing up.
