I currently own a HK45uspc, G19, and a XD45 all with rails.

Now I would like to get a light for the guns but the only fly in the ointment is money.

Who offers a good light at a cheap price? Say under 100 bucks but not more than 150 bucks. Cheaper the better. Well built for the price.

Yes I admit it I'm cheap but hunting season is approaching and that will get expensive.
I just want something that will allow me to keep one hand free in a SHTF situation.

Thanks.

If you can wait a month Safariland is coming out with their own version of a tactical gun light that has a universal mount which will fit your HK, Glock, and the Springfield. It is also tough as nails as the Surefire gunlight. Retail would be around $130 or so.

More information please.  IT sounds like it would be nice and affordable compared to other lights.

I bought this light a couple of months ago on recommendations from friends.

I have been very happy with it, and I just used it about an hour ago to go after a skunk out by my garage.

It's mounted on my XD45 Compact and gets switched to my other pistols as needed.  This thread just reminded me to order another one before the importer figures out they could get a lot more money for them.

It sells for under $60http://www.popguns.com/ledwave/m3vsZ5comparision.htm

Oops; forget the above post.

I just went to order another one of the Z5 lights and found this message from the suppliers I used:

height=8
The Ledwave flashlights are now being imported by Blackhawk - They have renamed the same lights and raised the price 30% to 100% of the original sales price.  The Ledwave lights were a great group of lights for the money - However in our opinion with the new Blackhawk pricing structure we can no longer recommend the purchasing of the Ledwave (now Blackhawk) flashlights. - We are recommending that our clients look to Surefire for personal flashlights and Insight Technology for their rail mounted weapon lights.

$52.95

I have ran into the same issue.
A friend of mine has a 226R and wants a
light attachment. I really don't know were to
start. I am certain they are not going to pay
$250.00, so what you are suggestiing I am
surfing up for info now.
Has anyone used a streamlight brand?
