Made it to the party late and can't find a Streamlight with the high switch anywhere, ideas where to look?

Also curious about the new surefire, but its been almost a year since it was announced at shot and I'm sure they will want a pretty penny for them when they finally do come out.

I think the high switch will be the one for Glocks... love mine with my 30S.

The original TLR-7 was turning on in my White Hat Holster when I would bend a certain way. Was never a huge fan of it, either. Actually stowed the gun and went back to my 9mm S&W 642-1 until the A model came.

Button is more defined on the A than the original. You feel the detent, as well as hear it. Works the same as the original... in regards to constant/momentary. Did not check the strobe, which I probably should to be sure it is off.

But the best part is that it fit the same holster. I do have to try my Ares shoulder holster, but I’m sure it will fit the same.

Yeah, Botach and Optics Planet are about equal to me.

You guys that have these on a Glock, can I get pics of the high vs low switch? I initially assumed a high switch would be best but I've heard the low is good to go on a Glock.

GT Distributors allegedly has them, too.

I just noticed that on some you can't pick a switch, the "Flex" labeled ones seem to have both. Some places selling them had a drop down box for high or low.

If someone gets both switch configs and has an OG tlr7, try and see if you can swap on the new switch.

Thank you! Definitely like the high switch over the low switch.

I have a Tier 1 Agis and a Lenwood Wrath, both made for an M&P 2.0, 4" Compact with TLR-7.  With my new TLR-7A installed, it still fits both holsters perfectly.

I just picked one of these up from Optics Planet.  Ordered it last Saturday and it arrived the next Friday.  After trying the low and high switch I found the high was best for me (Sig P320 Carry).  So far, it has worked fine with my Stealthgear IWB.  Only once during multiple quick draws did the light activate.  I think that one time was my fault due to poor technique by dragging the light over the holster instead pulling directly up.

This light is quickly becoming my all time favorite for CC.  I have multiple TLR-1, TLR-7, X300U, and XC1-B.  For me, the combination of throw, spread, lumens, activation, and size are perfect for CC.  Hopefully over time the durability will prove to be there as well.

I ordered one yesterday from Midway.

For two handed shooting I actually prefer the original switch. It is very hard to bump it on by mistake. The biggest reason I ordered the flex is because I cannot easily activate the light using just one hand.

I saw at least one poster said the new version fits his holster that was made for the original version. Now that they have been out for a while has anyone else tried them with a holster made for the original light?

I have a kydex iwb holster for a TLR7 that fits the 7A just fine.  My G23 with TLR7A also fits perfectly in a Safariland duty holster made for a TLR7.

Got a low switch 7A for the wife’s new shield 9mm ez. It fits well once you find the right spacer. She loves it, so I’ll call it a win.

Looks good, I’ve been waiting for the updated switch!

However, the Nightstick 550xl also looks tempting.

Between the two I ended up w the nightstick.

We use the Surefire X300 at work and the switches on the Nightstick are closer to that.
