I've got a sweat guard on an appendix carry kydex holster that sticks out past the rear of the slide.  I want to cut it off and make it even with the end of the slide.  Is it as easy as cut and sand it down smooth?

I’ve used the sanding and polishing bit for a dremel in a similar situation. Worked great. You could just hand sand it to with some medium - fine grit sand paper and get equal results.
