Is the gen 2 with the screw better than the gen 1 with the quick disconnect?
Anyone ever have any issues with the gen one? I just got the gen one for $70 but it doesn't have the 1913 adaptors if I wanted to put it on my rifle. I emiled inforce to see if they would send me the adaptor and they said they didn't have any b/c they changed the design and the screw is much better and if I wanted to send in my gen1 to them they would send me a gen 2 as replacement. Should I trade them out? I really like the ability to quick detached but only if it's reliable. The ability to put it on my rifle is more of a bonus so not having the 1913 adaptors isn't a deal breaker for me. it will mainly ride on a p229. Thanks, |

was this a very common problem or just a few had this issue? Did you have first hand experience with this? Thanks, Not personally, but it's pretty well documented I think. From what I remember it seemed to happen more on heavier recoiling guns like .45's. |
| the only real problem I see with the APL is that it drain batteries when they are off and fairly quickly. Supposedly, if you turn the bezel in the off position this will not happen, however then you have to remember to turn it in the on position before use. I have personally seen this happen to a coworker's light. |

Any reported cracking with the APL like the WML? my mount crack on one of mine. I have a dummy light that I bought with out the guts for molding holsters. I took off the mount from that one and put it on my real light. I was hoping I could just send the broken latch back in. No they want me to send both lights in. I now just mount my dummy light with the broken latch and tape it down solid. |

I have never had it happen on Glocks or Picatinny rails. I only ever saw issues reported on HK rails. Quoted:

Think I remember it on M&P 45's I've had a gen1 on my fullsize MP45 with no issues, but you can twist the light off by hand fairly easily without flipping the latch, so a big bump might knock it off. Think Inforce would trade my Gen1 for a new Gen2?

If you want to know for sure send an e-mail to [email protected] and someone will get back to you. I have a Gen 1 with a possible battery drain issue and was told to send it in and they would send me a Gen 2. I don't want a Gen 2 body so I am not going to do it as I haven't had any issues with the mount on my guns but I don't own an M&P or HK. |
| Did they change the body shape or something on gen2? I have been thinking about getting one to replace my TLR1HL. It a good light but i ccw IWB with it quite a bit. I don't want to lose the light completely but I wouldn't mind slimming down the package a little bit. |

Damnit. I think you just sold me on the xc1....but that means I need a new holster. Prob just order the Incog and xc1 package from HSP. Poor poor bank account |
| I have sent a couple emails now pleading with in force to make a smaller one. I love the form factor, I have one on my full size xdm and it's the only weapon mounted light I am keeping. I wish they made the same light using an N battery that was smaller in length and girth to fit my compact xdm better. I have never had the Gen 2 come loose like the Gen 1 did. |
