I could never find a holster to satisfy my needs.  So I hacked up an iTAC holster.  I like how the holster fit the gun but didn't like the roto feature which makes it stick out too much.  I wanted it to hug closer to my body.  Here's the results...

here I mix up some epoxy resin with carbon fiber trimmings.  About 75% carbon fiber to 25% resin.  Then I put a layer of it into the taped up cut out I have

what it looks like after it's cured

compared to a CompTac and Fobus

now I have the holster I've been looking for

Not bad. How solid is the resin? Details on the epoxy resin? I could possibly use the resin for a project myself.

well...it isn't the most ideal resin for what I used if for but it holds up fine for everyday carry.  And the only resin i had around so that's why I used it.  This resin is what I mainly use for infusion projects, which is cured under a vacuum load.  Its called Max 1618 and I get it from Ebay.

Thanks for the info. Any specific resin you might recommend that is better suited for a project like this?
