I know that RCS is a real popular holster right now and everyone has good things to say about this brand of holster. But how comfortable is the Phantom in the IWB configuration?? Looking at one for a Glock 19
Thanks for your help!!! |
| I've tried Ravens IWB and did not like the experience at all. Similar to earlier posters, it's like sticking a bumpy dinner plate in your pants. I'm skinny though, so lots of padding may make this setup more comfortable. I much prefer the CTAC for an all kydex IWB holster. |
| Another negative for the Raven IWB. In all honesty, I had no clue what the holster even was as I got it with my XD back in 2009 and never used it because I already had a holster. I remember trying it as IWB and thinking "man, this really sucks...." and went back to my Crossbreed. However, I heard all the good things about them recently and noticed the one that's been sitting in my closet actually was a Raven, so I tried it OWB and am quite impressed with it. Definitely my go-to OWB holster now, and Crossbreed Supertuck for the IWB. |

I have an RCS Phantom holster for my Kahr PM9 and my Glock23 w/TLR-1s.
It's horrible when worn IWB with the soft loops. Not even remotely usable in my opinion. You can't even get a full grip on the gun without fighting the soft loop mounts. If you wanted a dedicated IWB holster, take a look at the Bravo Concealment D.O.S. The holster posted right below your OP also looks like a good choice too. |
