I'm looking to get a weaponlight for my nightstand gun.  Are the Insight lights any good?  I'm on a little bit of a budget, so I don't think I can afford the M6, but is the M3 a good light for the money?

I've used an Insight Tech WX150 for over two years on patrol and it is a great light. Much better than the TLR-1, but not as good as a Surefire X300

I have a WX125 (Procyon) and is works fine. I also have a TLR-1, TLR-2 and 2 Surefire X200s and have had 2 M3s. I wouldn't buy an M3/M6 now, they work fine but the other choices are much better. I actually prefer the TLR-1 to all the others and it is one of the least expensive.

I have not had good luck with streamlight products or customer service. If I buy them, I expect to throw them away when they have problems. I have used an M3x and liked it, my next handgun light will be an X300 though.

I have a wx150 and a tr1ls (duty use) and they are both fantastic lights - both worth a purchase.

I picked up a used m3, and so far it has been a good light. Well built and simple, but not the brightest. If you go with an incandescent model, be sure to back it up with a quality handheld.

I found a pretty good deal on an Insight M3 so I ordered it.  It should be here tomorrow, so I'll let everyone know how it is, thanks for all the help.

I got the light yesterday and put it on my gun.  It's a really tight fit, but it's getting easier to take off and put on each time.  As you guys said, it's not super bright, but I think it's bright enough.  Honestly it feels a little bit cheaply made, but I guess that's what you get when you're on a budget.

LOVE the TLR but have consistent feeding issues with my G22 and the aluminum TLR.  Have replaced recoil spring and magazine springs....

M3 is 10+ year old technology.  Works, yes.  But there are better options if your buying new.
