| For Single action revolver what would you go with? |
|
This is the toughest decision I have made all day. The 45 Colt is about my favorite caliber and I have more than a few of them, but there is something about the venerable 44-40. I have a first generation Colt frontier six shooter that letters as being sent to The Copper Queen Consolidated Mining Company in Bisbee, Arizona Territory over 100 years ago. If that gun could talk...
I voted 44-40. |

I guess theres never a bad time to start learning how to reload.

I wonder why people are picking 45 over 44 is it for the accuracy or authenticity of it. Why I say? Cheaper, easier to find, easier to reload. yeah i'm starting to see this. Guess my colt 44/40 frontier's probably going to end up being a *shelf look at me I'm the original deal* revolver. Thinking about also buying the USFA rodeo.

You won't find any 44-40 or 45 Colt ammo cheaper than that. |

I don't know too much about magtech I used to use it in my Sig P229 and had problems with it when I never had any other problems with any other ammunition though. |

I sure can't afford a new set of dies and to start scrounging an even rarer brass If I was starting over I'd get them in .357. |
