Finally was able to shoot my g20sf yesterday. A buddy gave me some Blazer 200 grn 10mm. I thought the load was anemic at best. Very un-impressed with it. I have a order with Georgia arms but there on a 5-7 week wait. The only ammo ive been able to find online thats "In-stock" is Double Tap for about .80 a shot. Or federal Personal defence 180grn HP's for .70 a shot. Have any of you guys tried either??
i cant find any specs on the federal , but the double tap looks like its hotter than most of the flavors out there. With the performance of the blazer ammo, i can see why the 10mm never got huge in popularity. To bad most makers dont load the 10 to its potential!!!! |

The original 10mm loadings that came out with the introduction of the Bren Ten Pistol were not anemic nor weak.. The pistol couldn't handle the loadings.... ^^Very true sir!! in 1985 I was buying Norma +P solid brass truncated cone loads (later outlawed) those things were just flat evil.. lol lol lol made a 2 foot fireball at the muzzle try the Corbon 10mm loads.. 150GR JHP @ 1300FPS. kinda pricey though...
I still have that same Delta Elite to this day and it still runs like a clock... but the BrenTen had issues with slides and frames cracking when loaded hot. |
