I admittedly don't know that much about pistol ammo, but I just picked up 500 Gold Dots in .45 ACP for $425. Was this a good shoot or should I have stayed the credit card to it's holdster?

Do you work in Sacramento by chance?
Actually it is worth what you paid for it if you wanted it bad enough.

No, I live further north than that. I got it from ammoman, BTW.

That's a little high but if you didn't have any it's hard to put a price on supply/availability. You don't have to look everywhere, everyday anymore so that might be worth the $100.00. Either way, you have them now.

I would say a bit pricy but at least you have it!  Next time, maybe check out double tap ammo.  http://www.doubletapammo.com/php/catalog/index.php?cPath=21_34

No affiliation but i've had no issues using their 9mm +P or .45acp.  The "Bonded Defense JHP" uses the Gold Dot bullet.  They usually have what's posted on the website in stock. shipping is quick and not overpriced.

I'd say you got hosed,  but if you need it, you pay the piper.

BTW, OMB was selling Ranger 230 and 230+p for about $470 last month per 1000 shipped and a bit more for the Ranger Bonded a few weeks ago + shipping.
