My local WalMart is just about finished with their remodeling. The Sporting Goods has been in disarray for weeks and was finally moved to its new location and set up.
This morning I stopped by to check on things with the nice lady manager and WOW...they had the Remington UMC 45 ACP in the 250 Mega Pack for $81.97!!! They also had the Remington UMC 9mm for 10.47 per 50. She told me she had ordered the Rem UMC 9mm in the 250 Mega Pack and the price would be $48.97! That is 19 cents per round! I had been buying the UMC Mega Pack at Academy for $98.97! Wally World is 7 cents a round cheaper! |

Yeah, I've bought probably 90% of my ammo from Walmart (everything except bulk 7.62x39 and 5.56) and you can't beat their prices right now, if you can find stuff in stock. Mine has the same pricing on the Remington UMC packs... $48 for 9mm, $64 for .40 S&W, $82 for .45 ACP Unfortunately I haven't seen any on the shelf since January? |
|

I am hoping my Walmart will get the 9m Mega Pack in stock. For the past several months they have had NO 45 ACP or 9mm. Now they have some. There is hope.

Today's deal was they had one box of WWB .40 cal for $16.97. Three weeks ago, WWB was $12.47. Sign of things to come...but the manufacturers aren't gouging? .09 cents a bullet/$4.50 a box in a matter of 3 weeks? They had nothing else except one box of .44 mag |

At least you find ammo at walmart. Not me, 4 super ones in a 5 mile area all never have handgun ammo. They haven't since January.

IMO, the best thing Wally can do is raise their prices. Clearly the 6 box limit was being circumvented, and the gun shop owners/Gunbroker resellers were still getting most of it. If Wally raises the price of .45 to $20-$22/box like the rest of the market, there won't be enough profit in it to flip. Plus, the higher price will slow down hoarders.
The 6 box limit didn't work; Raising the prices to market level will. |

Mine got in 5 boxes of .380 last night... $36/100 I have 650+ rounds so I left it there (plus I'm paying off my DPMS .308 and stacking 5.56 and 7.62 currently) |

Anyone seen .380 online anytime recently? I picked up 3 boxes of Blazer in Academy last month, but am looking to buy in bulk. Still that scarce?

Went to a Wally's in Florence, AL and they had two mega value packs of UMC in .40! I got one and left one for the locals. $69.97 for 250.
They had only a .44 mag box left on the pistol shelf. |

Ammo to go has FMJs for $16/50 but with shipping, I would wait. A good place to look for ammo ive found is local ACE shops or similar stores. The last one I was at had a few brands of .380, lots of 9mm, and just about every other caliber minus .25acp, but who cares about that anyway. |
