Found a place that has CCI Blazer Aluminum Cased 230gr .45ACP FMJ for $13.99 per 50.  Is this a decent deal?  Also, I remember a while back hearing some people having problems with some of the CCI ammo, but can't remember whether it was the blazer brass or aluminum?  Will be shooting it as range/practice ammo in a G-30 and possibly a 1911 (long story).

Thoughts?

Thanks.

$14 for 50 Blazers is about average.
I, personally, would spend the extra buck or two to get reloadable brass cases--CCI Lawman, S&B, WWB, UMC, American Eagle, etc, all are decent range ammo with reloadable brass cases.

I used to shoot Blazer all the time when it was quite a bit cheaper than brass cased ammo.  Anymore, with Walmart selling Blazer Brass for $14.99 a box, the aluminum cased stuff just isn't worth it.  Even if I lose the majority of the cases at the range (when shooting a semi-auto) I'll recover enough of them to be worth the extra dollar.

All my .45s were fine with the Blazer aluminum.  However I do not own, and never fired them in a Glock.

$13.9x seems to be par price for the aluminum cased rounds these days.
