this is a side question about the lead round nose bullet.

any pictures and or data on the performance of the lead round nose?

Don't think that there is too much information out there anymore about the load using LRN except older data. Since it is likely to perform today as it has in the past, even the older data should remain pretty reliable.

FWIW, LRN behaves like FMJ in that it tends to "slip" through tissue, producing narrow unimpressive wound paths, no expansion unless bone is struck and deep, usually "through and through" penetration against the human anatomy.

I suspect that there are very few out there who are willing to go through both the expense and diffuculty of testing its terminal performance in calibrated ballistic gelatin.

No expansion, way too much penetration in soft tissue. I wouldn't expect a hard-cast LRN to perform any differently.

The pic Zhukov posted is pretty much what you can expect from a LRN.

You can get expansion from a hollow point cast bullet, but it needs to be the right alloy.
