I have a number of premium .40 S&W rounds that I could run. It might just be me but my carry weapon of choice the G23 seems to like the 165gr rounds the best. Would if it were you feel that the Federal 165gr HST is not the optimum round a person could carry for self defense or would you opt for the GDHP or Golden Saber in the same cal. and wt.?

I've been using 180gr Gold Dots and they have been extremely reliable.

Thanks folks. We carry 165gr Winchester Ranger SXT's on duty as that is the round my department mandates and my duty G22 prints well with them. I guess my G23 is "finicky" and I will just feed her what she likes. The more I ask around the more I am told you can't go to astray with most of the premium ammo made by Winchester, Federal, Speer, and Remington.
