Heres an Aguila 230gr. FMJ .45 auto round. This round has never been chambered. Before shooting I look at every round for this type of thing.
That hole is all the way thru!

Post a pic of your bad rounds.

Its a 357 mag case necked down to 6mm. I found it at the range. No idea what the intent behind it was. Primer was dented as if someone tried to shoot it.

I don't have a pic, but I once had a round of Federal LE Tactical 230gr HP with a primer in upside down. Glad I noticed that one before loading it...

Here's an XM955PD with a LakeCity O3 headstamp... appears the "penetrator" was upside down when the bullet was cast/swaged:

I like it!  The AR platform could use another retarded wildcat round!

Similar, it's a split in the case that was run through the sizing die folding one side clean over the opposite side.

Split runs from just ahead of the case neck down the body to around 1/2 inch from the head of the case.   It will chamber and if it was fired in a chamber it likely would KB very nicely.

Was factory 55grn UMC yellow box.   I likely could of sent the round to UMC and gotten a "thanks for catching that" box or two of ammo as thanks.   However I keep it around as rememberance to NEVER assume that any manufacturer is immune to putting out a lemon, law of numbers and statistical probability pretty much assures that bad ammo does get out there even from the big names.

A good reason for this topic.
