i know we all been threw this time and time again

please stay on subject and do not say i am a flame or what ever


but i want to know .... ok since i owned guns i had a 38 spl   2  380's

357 mag    40 cal and .45  12ga  and ak 7.62x39


 when they say a true man stopper round  what round  is  like a sudden death?....
 i know i know   shot placement


but really what is a true man stopper   what cal in you guys eyes?

my first sergeant liked .45s because you already start with an almost 1/2 inch hole and anything else was a bonus.

i like .45acp/colt, .44 magnum, .357 magnum.

the .44 magnum is easier to find than .45 colt and for most cases, the rounds are loaded hotter than .45 colt.  the .44 mag also has pretty much the velocity of the .357 and the bullet is almost always heavier.

unless you want to lug a newer super duper gun around like a .500 smith or something.

i have ruger blackhawks and like the .45 colt loaded hot.

for you i say .44 magnum as my response.
