A Public Service Announcement... Please Read

Back in December I placed an order with National Bullet Co. for 1,000 rounds of 9mm FMJ. Three months later I have yet to receive my order. I have placed several calls to them, I was never able to speak with a human, just an answering machine. I have also sent several emails regarding my order, with very little response. On two separate occasions I was told that my order would ship out on the following Monday. It has been 3 weeks since they last told me it would ship.

So, in short. Please do not do business with these folks. It is likely that you will not get your order. If any of you have had success with them, please feel free to chime in. I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm not the only one.

Have a good un'

Hopefully you ordered via credit card. If so, simply dispute the charge with your CC company if they've actually billed you and cancel the order with NBCo.

Yep, they're like that sometimes. For the really popular calibers like 38, 45 and 9mm, they are usually out. They do a high volume in those and cant make 'em fast enough.
You should call 1st to see if they are in stock, then order them. I'm lucky, I only live 9 miles away, so I call 'em then pick up. Last summer I called them once a week for 2 months for 45 cal before they finally had some.
I can always get one of the guys on the phone, so if ya wanna PM me your order # I will call and find out WTF is up.
Be warned though, their bullets are not the best quality. Definately not for match accuracy but good for general plinking and blasting ammo. Like I said, they are only 9 miles away so they are the only lead bullets I use. Cheap and no shipping.

If I can help let me know.

I've ordered from them, for 20 years or so.  I've shot 10's of thousands of their bullets from my .38's & .45's.  They used to be very fast with their orders (with decent prices), and arrived on my doorstep within a couple of days.

As PirateBill stated, they are "not for match accuracy, but are good for general plinking & blasting ammo".  They do work very well for bowling pin shooting.  95% of my .45's were shot at bowling pins.

I also ordered from them last year, and it took 2 month's to get my order.  They said it was due to the new plater, and it was out of their control.  Poor excuse in my opinion.

I know of others, who have waited much longer for their order & finally received it.  There are numerous complaints with the BBB, but I'm not sure what will come of that.

I had previously signed up for their e-mail specials (5 months ago, or so), but they seem to have stopped sending them.  Maybe it's a sign, that they are trying to make a change for the better (hopefully).

If NBC still wants to stay in business, they really need to do something to take care of their customers.

File a complaint with the BBB.  I don't know anything about this company, but I once had an issue with a company.  Wouldn't respond to emails or answer their phone.  Filed a complaint with the BBB and within 3-4 days the company emailed me with some excuse about filling .mil contract orders.  Got my package 3-4 days after that.  Don't know if it was timing, or the BBB.  But the BBB kept in contact with me and they give you a little profile on their site to check the status of it.  Showed them contacting the company, companys response, etc.

I was just there on Friday. I took the last box of 38's and 45's. The shelves were bare. No nothing left on any of 'em. The guy said they're sending them out as soon as they make 'em, can't make 'em fast enough. I was lucky to get what I got.

I have never ordered from them.  A couple of years ago I was considering an order, but when I queried this group it didn't seem like anybody had heard of them so I sent my order elsewhere.

Like Wolverine, I used about 15,000 200gr. 45acp copperized from them over the years, always got them to my door in 2/3 days.
The price and shipping was creeping up like everything else and I found a local source.
They used to send around Email sales that worked out pretty good.
Hope they get back up and running we need all the sources we can get.

i ordered ammo last july and got my credit card refund in november.
2 "shipping next week" phone calls.
many WTF emails unanswered.
having sales with no product is shady.  they seem/ed to be using other peoples money to stay afloat.
wish i could have supported the small guy, but i will never look at them again.
