To a person with a .41AE pistol, just about priceless!  To anybody else, just about worthless.

Here's a place that sells .41AE ammo for $70 for a box of 50, so we can speculate that the price of Sampson is probably worth not more than $70.

I used to own a .41AE, the IPSC commemorative built on a CZ75 clone.  Great gun.  Loved it.  The .40 S&W killed it, which I thought was a shame.  With a .41AE, you could swap out just the barrel (and recoil spring?), and have a 2-caliber gun (.41 and 9mm).  With the .40 S&W, you have essentially the same ballistics, but you need to use a whole new top end, or in most cases, a whole new gun.  Guess which cartridge the gun manufacturers would rather support?

I still have my Jericho 941 pistol. Accurate, built like a tank.....the tritium night sights are a bit dim but still works. Like the previous post, it's a shame the 40 S&W killed the 41AE. All you need to convert between 9mm and 41 AE are a barrel, recoil guide spring and magazine. The 41AE UZI carbine is even more simpler, all you need is to swap out barrels and the magazine. Still have about a dozen 50-rd boxes of UZI brand 41AE 170 grain JHP ammo. Back then, it was $ 17.99 per box. Don't know if anyone would be willing to pay $ 70 per box though.
