I shot steel cased WOLF 9mm through my 1911 today. I've actually only ever fired Russian steel cased pistol ammo. Is Winchester pistol ammo going to be significantly more accurate?

Nope, bulk american ammo is about the same.

I find all the cheap blasting ammo to be pretty much the same. For plinking and practice I buy cheap. Tula, Wolf, Perfecta,PPU, WWB, etc....about the only brand I stay away from is Remington UMC. I have seen Remington UMC in multiple calibers, in multiple guns  turn a 100% reliable firearm with ANY other ammo into a comedy show of  WTF stoppages. Even when I first started reloading and didn't fully have my stuff dialed in, I made better blasting ammo then Remington UMC.
