I have a Winchester Model 94 lever rifle in 38/357. I really enjoy shooting 38 out of it because I can basically shoot it all day comfortably. It handles any ammo I throw at it but I would really like to use 158 grain 38 Special. My go-to brands are American Eagle and Winchester, but they don't offer a flat nose 38 in 158 grain (need flat nose for the tube magazine).
Magtech does offer a lovely flat nose fmj 38 in 158 grain. I'm tempted, but I've never shot this ammo before. This lever rifle is my prized possession, so I want to make sure this is quality ammo. Does anyone have an opinion on Magtech ammo? |

I've shot hundreds of rounds of magtech 45LC through my cowboy guns, and it's been great stuff for me. Brass is great for reloading, too. +1 for magtech from me |

I've shot 158gr lead nose through my Rossi 38 special and it's the only ammo I can remember that flashed so much that
burnt powder was on my hand. It was like shooting a muzzle loader. That was a few years ago. I'll pass and spend a couple extra bucks next time because it was really weird. |
