Thought I'd try asking here. I have a stuck/frozen slide (as in rusted) on my P-14. Any suggestions on how to free this up besides WD-40 and a rubber mallet?

| PB Blaster is made for rusted components and will break free rusted or stuck fittings by spraying liberally and taking something light that wont scratch or ding the gun and tapping. Tapping aids PB into cracks... You must really hate your gun to let it rust like that. |
, but I shall redeem myself. What can I say, there was a cat hairball involved followed by unemployment and a move. Didn't catch it till to late, alot was going on at the time.

Well I got the slide off. I was about to give up and it finally budged a little (whack, whack, WHACK!). I stripped it down, except for the ejector. I'm having a heck of a time driving that little pin out. Any suggestions? Maybe I'm missing something obvious here.
Also, it appears that Para designed thier guns around the Colt series 80 safety features. Am I mwrong here? Just asking because I'm probably gonna replace the slide and was'nt positive. |

The frame is definitely salvageable, and probably the slide as well. I will have to take a closer look at the slide to be positive, once I've finished dickering around with the ejector pin on the frame that is. Since I gotta do so much work, I'm gonna learn 1911's (hello AGI!!) and go the full custom route.
Sorry, no capabilities to take or post pictures. I've thought bought investing in a digital camera, but keep spending my money on gun related things.
