Went out shooting today and got 4 rds out of my 45colt and had a misfire.I rotated the cylinder to see what was the problem and found that the fire pin had hit the rim and not the primer???.So I removed that rd and loaded 5 more. Had the same thing happen a few more times!!!!????.Anyone have any Ideas. I just had a new hand put to it about 75 rds ago. Does it need a new fire pin?. Thanks

check the pin to see if it's bent....if it isn't, your cylinder is probably out of time, and that's a bad thing--think catastrophic failure here.  Have that gun checked by a competent 'smith before shooting it again.
