Okay, not really, but close enough.  I am cleaning the snot out of my M9, and wound up with a cool golden sheen on my sliding contact surfaces.  I am assuming given the continuing avalability of  brass scrapers that this is neither harmful nor failing to scrape off the deposits.  Thoughts?  Thanks!

It's just the softer brass rubbing off on the steel.
If it bothers you, just use a copper solvent to remove it.

It will probably be removed when the gun is fired.

Where I am, there is no way I am getting copper solvent.
And I actually like it, so long as it doesn't solder the slide locked back in case of trouble.
This gun is so worn that frankly I could improve the accuracy if I got enough brass laid down.  Heh.
